The Non Living · Pet furniture
Starting and scaling a pet furniture vertical.
A four-month launch and growth journey across social media, influencer campaigns, Meta lead generation, offline activations and lead follow-up—showing how furniture businesses can build a focused category around pet parents.
Growth at a glance
A niche product category built through multiple touchpoints.
The goal was not only to post pet furniture online. It was to create demand, build social proof, generate leads and give pet parents a chance to experience the products in real life.
The opportunity
Pet furniture can be a real vertical—not just a novelty product.
The Non Living showed that furniture capability can be repackaged around a very specific audience: pet parents who want furniture that is useful, attractive and designed around how their pets actually live.
Create a category people understand
The marketing had to make pet furniture feel practical and desirable, not unfamiliar or overly niche.
Build trust through real pet parents
Products became easier to imagine when actual pets and their owners were shown using them.
Connect digital demand to real interaction
Paid leads, influencer content and offline events gave interested buyers more than one way to discover the range.
Launch the category, grow a relevant audience quickly, generate high-volume enquiries and create enough real-world interaction for potential buyers to see the products beyond a social-media post.
The growth framework
Content, creators, paid leads and offline experience.
Each channel had a different job. Social media built familiarity. Influencers demonstrated the products. Paid campaigns generated volume. Offline events created physical product experience and fresh leads.
Build the social presence properly
The account was managed as a full brand channel rather than a posting calendar.
- Content planning and editing
- Product shoots and content production
- PR and campaign communication
- Launch and product storytelling
- Audience and community growth
Use pet parents as product proof
Influencer campaigns focused on showing the furniture being used in natural pet-parent environments.
- 30+ creators across two campaigns
- Paid full-day shoot collaboration
- Barter-led product seeding
- 15–20 content pieces per selected creator depending on reach and audience size
Turn attention into leads
Meta Ads were used with one clear objective: maximise enquiry volume around the weekend activation.
- 167 leads generated before the event
- Event promotion connected digital interest to an offline experience
- Follow-up handled after lead capture
- Hot leads forwarded to the sales team
Influencer marketing
Make the product believable by putting pets in the picture.
Pet furniture is difficult to sell through isolated product shots alone. Stronger proof came from letting pet parents show how the furniture looked and worked with real animals.
Two collaboration models created both polished launch content and a larger volume of authentic creator-led assets.
Selected pet parents attended a dedicated shoot with their pets. The full-day engagement created structured product and lifestyle content around real pet behaviour.
Furniture was sent to creators to use at home. Depending on popularity and audience size, collaborations required roughly 15–20 content pieces showing the product in a natural setting.
Lead generation & follow-up
The campaign did not stop at the lead form.
Volume was the primary paid-media objective, but the flow after capture mattered too. Leads were contacted, intent was assessed and hotter opportunities were moved to the sales team.
Meta Ads
Promote the weekend event and create high enquiry volume.
Lead Capture
167 leads collected before the activation.
Follow-up
Contact interested prospects after capture.
Qualify
Understand interest and identify stronger opportunities.
Sales Handoff
Forward hot leads to the sales team for conversion.
Offline activation
Bring the category into the real world.
The Pink Butterfly flea market in Ahmedabad gave pet parents a chance to experience the furniture physically. The activation was promoted before the weekend, and the event itself became another source of fresh leads.

Pink Butterfly · Ahmedabad
A flea market turned into a live product showcase.
The activation featured The Non Living’s pet furniture in a full display environment, alongside the event’s partner ecosystem and a Mercedes-Benz collaboration.
My responsibilities included event promotion, lead collection, visitor interaction and post-event follow-up.

What this project proves
Furniture companies can build a pet category—with the right launch system.
The opportunity is not only in manufacturing a smaller bed or sofa. The category needs its own audience strategy, creator proof, lead generation and physical product experience.
Specific beats generic.
A clearly defined pet-parent audience made it easier to shape content, creators, events and campaign messaging around one buying context.
Demonstration creates desire.
Real pets using the furniture gave the category context that static product photography could not create on its own.
Discovery should lead somewhere tangible.
Paid lead generation and offline activation worked together—first creating curiosity, then giving potential buyers a real product experience.
Thinking of adding pet furniture as a new vertical?
I can help you build the marketing side of the category—from positioning and social content to creator campaigns, paid lead generation, launch activations and the lead journey that follows.
